M. V. Lomonosov’s Kratkij rossijskij letopisec and its young translators: A response

This response to the article “Is translation child's play? Circulation of knowledge in Lomonosov's Kratkij rossijskij letopisec s rodosloviem (1760) and its translations” by Wim Coudenys and Vladislava Warditz (Die Welt der Slaven 66 (2021) 1, 46–69) contains a few corrections and adds some contextual information that help to better understand the circumstances under which Lomonosov’s text and its translations arose.
