In this essay, I look at thoughts, theoretical approaches or analytical experiments in Polish Translation Studies (from the 1950s until the present) that are indicative of a direct or indirect influence of the hermeneutics of translation on Polish translation scholars. Such traces are not only historically relevant; they can also shed new light on translation hermeneutics itself.
